Pioneer Woman Cheesy Bread Recipe

The smell of warm, cheesy bread straight from the oven is enough to bring your favorite eaters
This recipe is all about balancing crispy, buttery bread with gooey, melty cheese. Uh...mega yum!
A good loaf of French bread is gold—it holds up well to the buttery topping without getting soggy.
I like to spread the cheese mixture all the way to the edges so that every bite is covered in melted goodness.
One way to get a firmer, cheesy texture is to let the bread sit for a minute after pulling it from the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Sourdough Bread
  • 1/2 cup Butter melted
  • 3 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Green Onion chopped
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a large baking sheet for the bread.
  • Cut the bread into a grid pattern by slicing it 3/4 inch thick, careful not to slice through to the bottom.
  • Mix the melted butter, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and a bit of salt in a bowl.
  • Spread the cheese mixture between the cuts in the bread, ensuring it seeps down to the bottom.
  • Wrap the loaf in foil and bake on the prepared sheet for about 15 minutes.
  • Unwrap the foil, top with chopped green onion, and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
