Ingredients

  • 14 oz Macaroni
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese grated
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Bacon diced
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 tsp Nutmeg
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • You want it nice and hot for a golden finish.
  • Cook the macaroni for 8-10 minutes.
  • It should be al dente, so it retains a bite when baked.
  • Fry the bacon in a pan until crisp.

  • Melt butter in a pan, add flour, and mix before whisking in milk gradually.
  • Stir in cheddar until smooth, adding nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  • Combine and bake.
  • Mix macaroni, bacon, and sauce in a dish, top with breadcrumbs, and bake for 20 minutes.
