Joanna Gaines' Baked Brie Recipe
This baked brie is everything you want—gooey cheese, a crisp pastry shell, and just the right balance of sweet and savory! One thing that makes this recipe so good is how the brie bakes inside the pastry without losing its shape.Make sure you score the top of the cheese lightly before wrapping it in the dough, so the flavors from any toppings soak in as it bakes. The best part?It only takes a few simple ingredients, and you get a high-end bakery item!I like using an egg wash with a mix of heavy cream for extra golden color and a flaky, crisp crust. This recipe works well with any jam, but a thick fruit preserve gives the best contrast to the creamy brie inside.

Servings: 4
- 1 round Brie cheese 5 inches
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Walnuts pecans, or almonds (chopped, optional)
- French bread sliced
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
This ensures the brie bakes evenly.
Center the brie in a pie plate.
It doesn’t need any special treatment—just make sure it’s snug.
In a large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, and a small splash of water until paste-like.
Use a mixer to get that consistency just right.
Spread the paste over the brie.
Make sure you coat it well!
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
You'll know it's done when it's soft and gooey inside.
