- Preheat your oven to 425°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. 
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. 
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened. 
- Mix in the black beans, salsa, chili powder, paprika, and cumin. 
- Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes to combine flavors. 
- Layer the baking dish with four corn tortillas. 
- Spoon half of the beef mixture over the tortillas. 
- Sprinkle a layer of cheese. 
- Repeat the layers, finishing with tortillas and cheese. 
- Bake the dish for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and the cheese is melted. 
- Top with dollops of sour cream and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. 
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
