Bobby Flay Shrimp Tacos Recipe

Bobby Flay's shrimp tacos recipe brings out incredible flavors by using a blend of lime zest, brown sugar, chili, cumin, and paprika.
The combo of savory grilled shrimp, accompanied by a creamy slaw and buttery salsa, creates a to-die-for balance of textures and flavors.
To really make the flavors pop, I suggest letting the shrimp marinate for about ten minutes before grilling–it's a simple step with big impact!
And remember to watch your heat while cooking the shrimp. You want a good sear but burn the spices!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Lime Zest
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice
  • 1 tbsp Tequila
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 8 Tortillas
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your grill or grill pan to high heat.
  • Mix the brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and lime zest in a medium-sized bowl.
  • Add the shrimp to this bowl and toss everything together until they're well-coated.
  • Allow them to marinate for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • In another bowl, mix the sour cream with a couple teaspoons of the sugar-spice combination you prepared earlier. Set it aside for later use.
  • Grill the shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until they're cooked through and slightly charred.
  • Remove them from the grill and set them aside.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing a few shrimp in each tortilla, topping them with the creamy sauce, and serving.
